Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for end-to-end human resources management, with a strong focus on recruitment, policy formulation, HR systems, compliance, and people standards. This is an office-based role, supporting both corporate and project teams, ensuring consistent HR practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Lead end-to-end recruitment for office and site-based roles (engineering, project, commercial, support functions)
Coordinate with recruitment agencies, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Manage job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer rollouts
Maintain recruitment trackers and hiring metrics (TAT, cost per hire, attrition analysis)
2. HR Policies & Governance
Develop, implement, and update HR policies, manuals, and SOPs
Ensure consistency of HR policies across corporate office and project sites
Handle policy communication, implementation, and adherence
Benchmark HR practices with industry standards
3. Performance Management
Design and manage performance appraisal systems (KPIs, OKRs, annual reviews)
Support leadership in goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback cycles
Drive a culture of accountability and performance orientation
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
Drive employee engagement initiatives, communication programs, and feedback mechanisms
Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters
Support leadership in building a professional, ethical, and collaborative work culture
5. Compliance & Statutory Management
Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements, including:
EPF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity
CLRA, Shops & Establishments Act
Coordinate audits and statutory inspections
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
6. Payroll & HR Operations
Coordinate payroll processing with finance / external vendors
Ensure accurate attendance, leave, and payroll data
Oversee onboarding, exits, final settlements, and documentation
7. Training & Development
Identify training needs for technical and soft skills
Coordinate induction and onboarding programs
Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
8. HR Systems & Reporting
Implement and manage HRMIS / HR systems
Maintain HR dashboards and MIS reports for management review
Track attrition, manpower strength, recruitment status, and productivity metrics
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of HR operations, recruitment, and compliance
Ability to create and enforce policies, processes, and standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills
Strong problem-solving and conflict-handling abilities
High integrity and confidentiality
Qualification & Experience
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
8–12 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in construction / infrastructure / EPC sectors
Strong exposure to recruitment, HR operations, and compliance
Experience handling both office and site manpower is preferred
