We’re looking for a People & Performance Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping a positive, high-performing workplace. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, you’ll partner with leaders, support employees, and help drive practical people solutions that make a genuine difference.
About the role
You’ll be a trusted advisor to managers across the organisation, providing clear, practical HR guidance while ensuring we stay compliant, fair, and people-focused. The role delivers both day-to-day HR and Employee Relations support and strategic people partnering, providing advice across a broad range of People & Culture strategies, programs, policies and practices. Working in close partnership with Senior Leadership, the role supports and develops leadership capability, identifies workforce and capability gaps, and delivers contemporary, best-practice people solutions aligned to organisational priorities and industrial obligations. From managing employee relations to supporting recruitment and strengthening capability, you’ll be at the centre of how we support our workforce.
Key duties
Supporting managers with performance, conduct, and employee relations matters
Guiding fair and consistent people practices across teams
Overseeing recruitment processes from end to end
Coaching leaders to build capability and confidence
Supporting learning, development, and engagement initiatives
Ensuring compliance with legislation, awards, and organisational policies
Using workforce data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
What you’ll bring
Extensive experience in HR advisory, including employee relations
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
Confidence in handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
A practical, solutions-focused approach
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels

Skills and Experiences:
CRCS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young children and young people. Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
