Job Description
Mass Hiring (Blue-Collar): Recruiting large volumes of CNC operators, fitters, welders, and helpers. This often involves working with contractors or visiting ITI/Polytechnic campuses.
Technical Sourcing (White-Collar): Finding specialized talent like Production Engineers, Quality Control (QC) Managers, and Maintenance Leads.
Manpower Planning: Aligning hiring with production shifts and seasonal surges (e.g., peak demand periods).
Onboarding & Compliance: Ensuring new hires are registered under PF (Provident Fund) and ESIC (Employee State Insurance) immediately to meet labor law requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Factories Act, Contract Labor Act, and local wage boards.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read a JD for a "Tool & Die Maker" or "PLC Programmer" and screen for specific machine-handling experience.
Field Work: Willingness to travel for local recruitment drives or "gate hiring" in industrial hubs.
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills (to manage salary expectations vs. plant budgets) and the ability to communicate with workers from diverse backgrounds.
Typical Work Environment
Location: Usually based at the Plant/Factory HR office rather than a corporate headquarters.
Reporting: You likely report to the HR Manager or the Plant Head.
