HRIS ASSISTANT

Full Time

Human Resources (Support Services)

Salary: $56,476-$71,061

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Human Resources Information Systems is responsible for producing reports for Benefit Trusts, Apply to Education, Unions and Management Staff on a regular basis. In addition, preparation of ad hoc reports as requested. Provide admin support for the HRIS department. Responsible for the maintenance of the departmental mailbox and managing responses as appropriate. Update documents on the Board's intranet site. Responsible for the Ontario Regulation 521/01 – Collection of Personal Information; ensuring compliance for a Criminal Reference Checks and Annual Offence Declarations.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Generate and analyze various reports on a regular basis for management staff, unions, department needs

Assist with maintenance of training documentation and manuals.

Provide admin support to the HRIS department

Annual collection of the Annual Offence Declaration of all staff.

Receives, scans all CRC's and AOD's into the Human Resources Information System

Co-ordinates meetings and follow up correspondence for meetings that are held with employees and potential employees.

Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding Ont Reg 521/01 and Board policy

Liaise with police departments and Employee Relations Department, regarding Criminal Reference Checks; as necessary

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Post secondary degree or diploma in Computer Technology or Human Resources

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources Information Systems or Systems Support Role preferably in a Human Resources Department.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to exercise proper judgement, tact, and confidentiality with internal and external clients

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and successfully complete projects with conflicting deadlines and urgency
