Full Job Description
HSE/EHS Assistant:
1. Sites Safety Adherence:
 Ensure Proper utilization of PPEs.
 Ensure caution cordon at prone area
 Plan PPE requirement in advance and ensure all safety equipment to be maintained by
vendor.
 Training of Fire & Safety Equipment to site staff & vendor’s workers fortnightly basis
 Ensure proper daily tool box training and issue the work permits to be maintained.
 Mock drills + Plant Drills to be conduct at site.
 Check the healthiness of Fire extinguisher
 Display the safety awareness posters at various locations.
 Coordinate with the site construction manager on all HSE issues Coordinate and chair the
HSE site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors HSE personnel.
 Action and close all FOR & NCR related to HSE.
 Evaluate the vendor’s HSE performance
 Feedback on major problems, ensure corrective actions & Ensure proactive approach to
prevent mistakes.
 Penalize vendors for safety violations
 Ensure First AID box availability and approachable for all works at site
 Guiding and co-ordination for movement of Vehicle and machineries to ensure accident
free site
 Ensure all vehicle and machinery compliance safety requirement
 Ensure all safety equipment for night work
 Give proper medication to the injured worker as per SOP.
 Ensure clearance of hazardous materials from site
 PPE matrix
 Project evaluation
 Near miss record
 Safety objective and target
 Appointment of MR letter
 Medical test certificates for Crane operators and motor drivers, cook etc.
2. Documents Control:
 Creation of site HSE SOP and Training Manual
 Record of safety violations incidents at site weekly basis
 MIS on weekly basis for FOR and NCR .
 Documents of 100 % Statutory Compliance Related to Safety & Health.
 Implementing & maintained the HIRA (Hazard identification & risk assessment) & JSA (job
safety analysis) at work.
 Vendor wise PPE utilization reports weekly.
 Enhancing EHS awareness of Employees once in a month with proper documentation
 Maintained the statutory and regulatory related documents like ISO & HO policy
 Creation of SOP for site accident and injuries
 Ensure proper documents of group insurance for worker
 Instant reporting for any incident of man and machineries
3. Monitoring & Reporting:
 Monitoring that proper HSE standards are maintained at sites and Comply the short
comes.
 Weekly reports/Daily reports to be generate with photographs
 Send reports to vendors for further action and compliance
4. Permits and Legal Compliances
 Permits to be issued for all works:
 Work permit
 Confined space permit
 Excavation permit
 Scaffold permit
 Work at height
 Night work permit
 Chemical product entry permit
 Lifting permit
 Legal and other requirements :
 BOWC Act all activities like registration certificate, welfare of building workers, fencing,
overhead protection etc ( with section and rules)
 Gas cylinder rules 2004
 Electricity rules
 Contract labour
 Child labour and LPG act
 Environmental legislation
5. Organizational Learning
 Contract Workmen - Training to be strengthen by various modules in local language
including Tool Box Talks, Safety Induction, etc.
 Celebrating the safety day and Environment day.
 Declare safety person of the week/month/year for regularising and maintaining PPEs at
site.
