Position Overview:

Reporting to the HSE Manager the HSE Administrator provides assistance and support to HSE Supervisors and Management to maintain the company’s health and safety program and ensure continually improve the company’s current processes. They also provide assistance and support to the field operations group. This is an entry-level position with a great potential to learn and develop one’s skills in safety and knowledge of the construction industry.

What You’ll Do:

Daily Management of employee files and paperwork including onboarding

Uploading certifications to their Salus profiles

Monitor supervisor HSE compliance through Salus Pro platform

Maintain and assist in development of JHA, SWP/SJP documents

Maintain SDS Information

Schedule employee training as required

Track certification expiry

Develop and circulate weekly toolbox topics

Track Toolbox and Site inspection compliance

Complete & distribute minutes of quarterly Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings

Assist in company COR audits as required

Stock PPE and other supplies

Administrative support for recruitment including drafting and posting job ads

Continual learning of industry and safety related topics

May be required to perform other duties as need

Skills Needed:

1- 3 years of experience in an administrative role

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Words, Outlook and PowerPoint

Data entry experience

Able to work in a confidential environment with sensitive information

Ability to manage multiple priorities and able to meet deadlines

Practical, flexible working and innovative approach to work

Working Conditions:

Field and Office environment

Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen

Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
