In-Field-Features Update (IFFU) – HTML5 Application Architect
In-Field-Features Update Team inside Our' Software Driven Experience (SWX) organization focuses on creating delightful new apps and services for customers to get the most out of Our branded vehicles. This global team plans to grow fast and directly contribute to the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan by monetizing vehicle services via Over the Air SW feature updates.
In-Field-Features Update Team is looking for HTML5 Application Architects who will be responsible for developing HTML5-based Applications for Automotive systems as a key member of a high-performing software engineering team.
Job responsibilities:
Take up feature requests from idea /proposal to design/execution plan.
Guide SW development and execution cycle for a given set of features using Web, Mobile, Embedded Android and QNX.
Work with all stakeholders to ensure timely progress and remove all blockers as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with all the internal and external stakeholders.
Work with the requirements team (feature/product owners) in assimilating (feature) requirements.
Ensure the DFMEA (Design failure mode and effect analysis) / TARA (threat analysis and risk. assessment) risks and issues are addressed 100%.
Provide clarification to development teams and resolve dependencies in a timely manner.
Validate estimates from development partners and recommends approvals.
Coordinate resolution of all issues identified by the various validation teams.
Participate in project development from conception to completion.
Be a sole developer or part of a team as necessary.
Communicate proactively and collaborate with teammates.
Work in both native and cross-platform environments.
Work in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
Websites and backend services for Automotive Applications.
Work and closely collaborate with team members across the world.
Integration experience with back-end databases or transactional systems.
Experience Leading and mentoring teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of + years of development experience in a related field.
Experience in Automotive Infotainment, Cockpit, Mobile Apps and /Or Web Applications domains
Experience integrating complex multi-systems solutions.
Experience evaluating existing system and architecture designs.
Ability to work within a globally distributed team.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills both oral and written.
Must be a proven expert with a successful track record in digital production of complex large-scale technology-related projects.
Must possess deep knowledge of a variety of programming languages and technical skills along with the ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
Must possess a deep understanding of digital media and technology
Must be able to transition through many different tasks and topics and prioritize appropriately.
Must possess knowledge of cutting-edge practices and be able to leverage future trends.
Understanding of software development life cycles, web technologies, web development, mobile development, and design processes.
Experience working cross-functionally and interacting with cross-functional teams at all levels.
Experience in producing thorough, detailed project documentation.
Experience with AWS and other cloud solutions.
Experience with accessibility technologies.
Experience working with frameworks like react to build efficient web experiences.
Experience with email development and testing tools.
Deep understanding of registration/authentication/authorization services.
Knowledge of technology-related design concepts, best practices, and information architecture.
Experience with multiple content management systems (Including WordPress).
Experience with collaborative design tools like Sketch and Figma.
Experience with multiple databases (including DynamoDB, MySQL and NoSQL)
Strong Levels of Experience with wiki tools such as GitLab, Confluence, and Jira Understanding of sensitive/restricted data handling such as PII, PCI, Safe Harbor, SOX.
Understanding of COPPA requirements.
Strong Knowledge and Experience using: Rich HTML5 apps experience using
HTML5
CSS3
ReactNative is a big Plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge/experience in Python, PHP or other scripting languages
Knowledge/experience in JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS or Node/Express or jQuery or Angular
Proficient in UNIX/Linux
