Responsibilities
The Director of Human Resources and Administration is responsible for oversight of all Human Resources and related business functions such as, health and business insurance and risk management to assure conformance with Success policies and procedures and legal and regulatory requirements
This position also provides support to the Finance Department as needed
Essential
Comply with all Success Rehabilitation, Inc. policies and procedures as stated in the Operation Manual and Personnel Policies
Be familiar with the Mission, Vision and Values of Success Rehabilitation, Inc. and work towards assuring that mission is integrated as part of all job efforts
Provide input to the strategic plan that supports success of the organization
Assures confidentiality, privacy and security of all personnel files, HRIS, and other related records such as workers’ compensation and disability
Develops and recommends modification of employee policy and procedures to meet current organizational and regulatory requirements
Works in conjunction with the financial department to assure policy and procedures provide for accurate time and attendance processes and paid time off
Assists with recruitment of professional staff / talent management and strategic HR leadership
Assure compliance with state and federal employment related hiring practices
Develop and recommend modifications to job descriptions to meet current organizational needs and state and federal regulatory requirements
Assures administration of pre-employment and random drug and ******* testing program
Assure disciplinary and Performance review programs are completed in timely manner and per procedures
Investigate employee-based complaints such as EEO, safety, ****** harassment, and age discrimination
Discuss findings with CEO and implement appropriate response
Provide timely and complete communication with employees about company policy
Employee Training – Maintain paper and MITC system training files for all staff / employee engagement collaboration and communication
Develop tracking systems for:
annual reviews
disciplinary issues
benefits coordination
Coordinates yearly renewal of employee health, dental and company business insurance, serve as liaison with broker, adjusters, manage enrollments/cancellations
Manages workers’ compensation program including claims administration, light duty and return to work program to control costs and lost work time
Assures that all unemployment claims are responded to in a timely manner per mandated dates
Determine which claims to appeal and provide guidance on developing cases and maintain documentation for possible unemployment hearing to protect company’s position
Attend hearings as necessary
Work with the Safety Committee to assure safe workplace and environment for staff, clients and visitors
Review and analyze Occurrence Reports and Medication Errors for patterns and trends and respond as indicated
Work with the COO and Safety Committee to develop correction plan
Support Director of Compliance & Clinical Operations with adherence to CARF by meeting applicable CARF standards
OSHA
Monitor OSHA regulations for all healthcare facility related recommendations, mandates, etc
Assume on-call responsibilities as part of the clinical and administrative rotation schedule
Attend meetings as assigned
Participate on committees as assigned

STATEMENT OF JOB:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Essential

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements for this job include
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Human Resources, Health Care Management, Financial Services
• Master’s Degree in business related field or professional certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a position relating to human resources, compliance activities, accrediting or regulatory requirements, insurance, benefit administration. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
