Bluewater Respite Inc. is a for-profit organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality respite care to individuals with complex needs. We partner with a growing network of independent contractors to provide flexible, client-focused services in both home and community settings.
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Professional to lead our HR operations. This role is essential to ensuring compliance, consistency, and strong contractor relations in a business model that integrates both employees and independent service providers.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to a contractor-based workforce
Manage onboarding, orientation, and credential verification for independent contractors
Ensure ongoing compliance with CRA guidelines, contract law, and other regulatory requirements
Maintain secure and up-to-date personnel and contractor files
Serve as the main point of contact for contractor relations, including performance and conflict resolution
Coordinate mandatory training, certifications, and professional development
Track and support organizational planning and contractor capacity
Collaborate with leadership to improve contractor retention, engagement, and performance
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively working toward it) preferred
Strong knowledge of Ontario HR law, contractor compliance, and employment standards
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
