Job title: HR Manager

Working Location Kolkata, India

Job Description

Gear Inc is seeking an HR Manager to grow with our BPO business in Kolkata, India. The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Manager also is the single contact point to assist business operations to align with our global frameworks. The ideal candidates should have a lot of experience in human resource management in different functions and are able to adapt with our fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities:

1. Hiring & Recruitment
• Managing the recruitment and selection process: sourcing, recruiting, training, motivating and retaining manpower in accordance to growth requirements of the business
• Buildinging team and growing company size to roughly 1.000 FTEs per year
• Supporting and suggesting improvements to the entire recruitment process. Hosting in-house recruitment events; organizing learning and development programs
• Improving company branding and image; developing the brand via multiple platforms

2. C&B and Performance Management.
• Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall company culture and business strategy
• Managing C&B processes: social insurance, health insurance, contracts and other paperwork
• Consulting, proposing, developing systems to ensure the effective implementation of management functions, HR efficiency and creating a professional, effective working environment
• Overseeing the coordination and implementation of annual performance reviews
• Cooperating closely with various departments to improve the efficiency of companys operations
• Nurturing a positive, energetic and professional working environment
• Serving as the point of contact for employment relations to promote a fair and transparent working environment
• Dealing with grievances and violations and administering disciplinary action when required

3. Culture & Engagement
• Conducting internal & external events that align with the company culture
• Developinging short-term and long-term programs/ plans for employee engagement and retention plans; build a Culture of Recognition & Reward.

Job Requirements:
• At least 8 years of experience in HR in companies with 700 employees and above; experience in people management level is a plus;
• Excellent command of English (reading/writing/listening/speaking), must be able to work with native English speakers;
• Background in BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company with international culture and mindset is preferred;
• Strong experience in mass recruitment under high pressure is a must;
• Solid understanding of Indian labor legislation;
• Experience in new company setup is required;
• Be able to work under pressure, and make sound decisions;
• Ability to foster healthy employee relations;
• Good planning, time and project management skills;
• Good problem-solving skill, analytical/ observation skills;
• Excellent communication abilities and leadership skills;
• Good skills in MS office, Google Suite;
• Cultural skills understands business issues and cultural differences.
