Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Recruit, interview, communicate with qualified applicants and refer to Department & Division Heads, suitable candidates for consideration based on BBI techniques.
Ensure that background and health related checks are conducted and outcomes administered expeditiously.
Assume the responsibilities of recruitment for the Director of People & Culture in their absence.
Assist the Learning Manager in conducting orientation for newly hired employees and be able to conduct programs in the absence of the Learning Manager inclusive of EMBARK, Designated Trainers Workshops, Guest Services Training, Interviewing Skills, Supervisory Development Program and other programs as required.
Supervise, train and counsel the P&C staff in their daily functions.
Monitor and ensure compliance with the staffing procedures as it relates to job requisitions. Coordinate, administer and implement all employee personal files prior to commencement of their job. Ensure that accurate job descriptions, policies, corporate policies are signed and filed in respective HR file of the employee concerned.
Produce monthly P&C reports with the use of the Workday reports and distribute to respective Division Heads (e.g: turnover reports, promotions, new hires, salary comparisons, accidents, injuries, sick leave).
Administer the Apprenticeship and Internship Program with the assistance of the Learning Manager.
Participate in community recruiting events including job fairs, local colleges/university.
Monitor employee facilities to ensure clean and orderly areas with immediate corrective action taken as required.
Ensure the employee restaurant is clean, the food is well prepared and that there are appropriate decorations for holidays and special events.
Meet with managers to determine their recruiting and training needs.
Ensure all employee medical and insurance benefits are administered accurately and employee claims are handled on a timely manner.
Assist in organizing employee relations functions such as sports events, annual staff party etc. Conduct monthly EOM and quarterly Mgr of Quarter recognition program in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain the job posting system internally and on the Four Seasons career watch and local website.
Submit accurate count of employee additions and deletions with back up for Insurance provider on a monthly basis and provide support to annual budget process regarding all benefit plans.
Organize and maintain legally compliant records as applicable under but not limited to Shops & Establishment Act, Employee Provident Fund Act, Employee State Insurance Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act etc. including all monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports.
Effectively communicate with employees regarding all benefit changes and plan for on-site Medical, Dental and Vision Care check-ups through insurance provider.
Actively support the safety committee and represent the P&C Department in Safety Committee meetings, Green Committee and Employee Dining Committee.
Ensure that the cafeteria, employee facilities, recreation area and locker rooms are clean and orderly at all times.
Perform tasks and duties as assigned by the management of the hotel.
Skills and Abilities:

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
2+ years of prior experience in Human Resources in a supervisory position.
Knowledgeable of local industrial labour laws.
Experience in handling employee relations.
Must be at ease with people and service attitude in dealing with people
