Job Description
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
This role requires a hands-on Human Resources professional to partner with employees, managers and leadership to create and manage a thoughtful people strategy including talent management, employee rewards and recognition programs, employee relations, and HR operations.
Principle Accountabilities
• Build credible and positive relationships at all levels of organization and maintain an in-depth understanding of the short- and long-term objectives of the business
• Drive HR projects and initiatives to support organizational growth, culture and development
• Manage recruiting process – job posting, screening, interviewing, reference checks and hiring best in class talent; manage onboarding process and engagement
• Drive consistency, best practices and inclusion across the company
• Administer and update HR policies, employee handbook, training, safety and compliance
• Administer health benefits, including Open Enrollment process, invoice approvals and billing reconciliation
• Oversee employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and performance management
• Take ownership of various HR projects, identifying needs, planning, and execution of all phases
• Maintain confidential employee records; collaborate with finance and payroll on all employee documentation and compliance requirements
• Manage physical office changes in conjunction with office coordinator and CFO
• Collaborate on CSR efforts and internal events with a commitment to engage all employees, both hybrid and remote teams
• Manage annual performance review process

• An organizational master; understands roles & responsibilities of the cross-functional teams and fully engages other partners to achieve objectives
• A planner and a closer - articulates the HR plan and sets expectations to deliver against it
• Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
• Strategic thinker - able to take key features, benefits, and messages combined with knowledge of business and define new HR strategies and tactics
• Passion for the events industry
SPECIFICATIONS
• 5 years human resources generalist experience with an entrepreneurial company
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, talent acquisition, performance management
• Strong problem solving and employee relations skills
• Solid project management, coaching, and consulting skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner and develop strong working relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A flexible work style and approach
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Certified as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
