Role Summary We are looking for an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions across our restaurant locations. Reporting directly to the Owner, this role is central to the growth and day-to-day people operations of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute recruitment strategies across multiple platforms including job boards, social media, and community partnerships
Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting through to onboarding
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with Nova Scotia employment standards
Administer HR policies and ensure the organization remains compliant with the Nova Scotia Labour Standards Code and applicable federal regulations
Support managers with performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee relations
Coordinate and maintain benefits administration and enrollment
Stay current on changes to HR legislation and best practices and communicate updates to management
Qualifications
CPHR designation (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) or equivalent HR certification required
HR experience an asset, preferably in food service, hospitality, or a multi-location retail environment
Strong knowledge of Nova Scotia and federal employment law
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
