Human Resources Specialist

The HR Specialist is responsible for managing all HR functions for the company, including recruitment, onboarding, employment law compliance, employee benefits, payroll, admin activities, leave management, and productivity tracking.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the recruitment and hiring processes, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.

• Conduct new employee orientations and assist with onboarding processes.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

• Administer and manage the company's employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.

• Process payroll for employees on a regular basis and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.

• Handle admin activities, including maintaining employee files, preparing reports, and ensuring that all HR-related documents are properly filed and organized.

• Manage employee leave requests and ensure that leave balances are accurate.

• Track employee productivity and assist with performance management processes, including annual performance evaluations and performance improvement plans.

• Other HR-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a small to mid-sized company.

• Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, employment laws, and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative to drive HR initiatives forward
