We are currently seeking a TAB Technician Apprentice to support our field team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the HVAC or mechanical industry and gain hands-on experience in a highly specialized trade.
Role Overview
As a Technician Helper or Apprentice, youâll work alongside experienced TAB professionals to support the testing and balancing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. On-the-job training will be provided, with the potential to grow into a full TAB Technician role.
Responsibilities
Assist with air and water flow testing on HVAC systems
Help set up and use testing instruments and equipment
Support the preparation of job site notes and data collection
Learn to read mechanical drawings and understand system design
Follow safety procedures on construction and retrofit sites
Load/unload equipment and help maintain tools and instruments
Travel to various project sites (sometimes multiple per day or overnight jobs)
Qualifications
Interest in HVAC, mechanical systems, or building performance
Post-secondary education in HVAC, mechanical engineering tech, or a related field is an asset (not required)
Basic understanding of tools and construction site safety
Physically able to work on ladders, lift equipment, and stand for extended periods
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Valid driverâs license and access to a reliable vehicle
Able to work occasional evenings, nights, or weekends
