HVAC Apprentice / Installation Helper — Red Fox Heating & AC

Role
Support the Lead Installer on residential installations of heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, and related equipment. On days without scheduled installs, ride along with a service technician on diagnostic, repair, and maintenance calls.
Installation duties
Assist the lead installer with full-system heat pump and furnace installations
Run line sets, condensate, electrical conduit, and low-voltage wiring under direction
Install sheet metal, plenums, and flexible ductwork
Material handling: load/unload trucks, stage equipment, manage job-site cleanup
Pressure testing, evacuation, and charging assistance
Maintain a clean, organized work area inside customer homes
Service & maintenance duties
Ride along on service calls; assist the service tech with diagnostics and repairs
Perform scheduled maintenance on furnaces, heat pumps, and AC systems independently
Document work, parts used, and findings in the field service software
Communicate professionally with customers in their homes
Requirements
Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working on ladders, in attics, and in crawlspaces
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction on a job site
Basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred
Registered HVAC, Refrigeration, or Sheet Metal apprentice with SkilledTradesBC (any level)
Prior construction, trades, or mechanical experience
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical concepts
Compensation
Wage based on apprenticeship level and experience
Paid time off
Apprenticeship sponsorship and support through SkilledTradesBC for the right candidate
Company-supplied uniforms and PPE
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
