Job Description
Responsibilities
• Prioritize safety in all job aspects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Respond promptly to no heat as well as no hot water service requests, recognizing time sensitivity
• Thoroughly evaluates situations to identify the root cause of failures, recommending preventive measures.
• Hold necessary certification for proper handling of refrigerants and expertise in using HVAC/R diagnostic equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, detect leaks, and conduct preventive maintenance on steam and hot water gas boilers, water heaters, pumps, piping, and control systems in addition to typical HVAC systems such as RTU’s and AHU.
• Performs electrical work and operate various hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, and test equipment used in the trade.
• Test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Quality-check work to ensure all repairs were carried out correctly, thoroughly testing the refrigeration system for proper functionality.
• Travel to job sites in company van/truck
Qualifications
• Steam/Hydronic Experience: 8+ years experience (Preferred)
• Boiler Experience: 5+ years experience (Preferred)
• EPA Universal (Type II) and/or CFESA certification
• Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Technical training in Steam/Hydronic as well as Refrigeration/HVAC systems (Preferred)
• Ability to obtain additional licenses and certifications as needed
