Duties
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose system issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
Service and repair fireplaces, including gas logs, inserts, and wood-burning units to ensure safety and optimal operation.
Read and interpret technical schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot complex systems.
Conduct property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and appliance repairs to uphold safety standards.
Utilize welding skills for equipment repairs or modifications when necessary.
Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and recommendations.
Skills
Extensive construction knowledge with experience in building systems integration.
Proven service technician experience in HVAC/R, refrigeration, plumbing or appliance repair.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans.
Field service expertise with a focus on property maintenance and equipment repair.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to operate a driver vehicle safely for on-site visits.
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and commercial HVAC/R applications is a plus.
Skilled in welding, boiler maintenance, and general mechanical repairs.
Experience working with air conditioning units, heat pumps, furnaces, or other climate control systems.
