Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team as a Lead Hand. The ideal candidate will have a strong HVAC mechanical background with 5+ years experience in the installation of Hvac systems in custom homes. A high attention to detail and the ability to think logically through plans and systems. As the Lead Hand, you will be responsible for ensuring that your teams work is done correctly, to manufacture specifications and meets all TSSA standards. Mentoring helpers and juniors to achieve their goals is essential.
Responsibilities
-Custom Home and renovation HVAC experience is required .
- Install duct work, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems according to specifications and schematics.
-Boiler and Hydronic Experience is a asset.
- Lead a team successfully through each project while teaching and improving skills of your teammates.
- Weld and fabricate components as necessary for installation or repair tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports and equipment logs and accurate pictures of daily work progression
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system operations, maintenance needs, and recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
- Proven experience in Heat Pumps, AC, Hydronics, Ductwork, Boilers.
- Blue Print reading preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in welding techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with superiors and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites.
