Job Description
• Provide Leadership at the Project Level, Vendor Partners, Consultants and representatives to ensure optimal alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Command on communication to interact global customers, understand requirements and translate them to deliverables
• Know in detail all HVAC/CPM contracts and scopes. Understand the delineation between packages and responsibilities.
• Understanding of HVAC & Piping engineering Standards & Codes ( IS/ASHRAE/BIS/NFPA)
• Working knowledge & understanding of Green Building Standards & Certification requirements
• Work with MEP Engineers to complete system responsibility matrix of all MEP systems for HVAC interfacing.
• Working knowledge of Plumbing, Firefighting & HSD lines
• Set up and lead low voltage meetings. (PMC, contractors and Client) Manage controls QA/QC program with HVAC contractors and track work to completion and punch list closure.
• Assist with the Start Up and Commissioning phase of construction. Attend meetings and keep information flowing to achieve schedules.
• Drive Internal & External Audits for Mechanical system & Client interfacing
• Drive the development of HVAC design from initial concept through construction drawing. • Application engineering including but not limited to Sequence of operations, load calculations, psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and temperature control systems.
• Design and plan layouts of equipment, duct, and piping systems. • Engages in several levels of field engineering, assisting with project execution, Vendor coordination, scheduling, document management and commissioning.
• Prepare project estimates for design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs. • Review and approve contractor bids, RFI’s, submittals, and change requests.
• Review installed Setup, identify Gaps & propose solutions suiting the practical scenario.
• Monitor reliability and up time with the aim to improve systems by identifying gaps.
• Oversee statutory inspections and minimize down time while maintaining compliance
• Drive PPM, Predictive Maintenance, Overhauls, Turnarounds & other maintenance programs.
• Develop asset lifecycle replacement plan, obtain funding and implement replacement projects.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of Capex / Opex projects on the responsible systems incl. system design, installation, commissioning qualification and handover. Ensure all aspects are executed in line with company Engineering standards and practices. No project changes are to be implemented on utilities systems without full oversight and approval.
• Ensure all systems drawings and data are reviewed regularly and kept in an as-built state.
• Drive energy Efficiency & resource management for HVAC system on site.
• Complete periodic reviews as necessary.
• Technical lead for all HVAC queries and issues relating to site logistics, deployments and break/fix activities.
• Organize and prioritize HVAC tasks and projects within their data center(s).
• Planning and supervision of all supporting physical infrastructure, logistics, and resources required to provide cloud capacity to our internal customers.
• Supervision and quality control of ongoing HVAC maintenance support for all service lines to meet pre-defined SLAs.
• Single point of contact for incidents at their datacenters that impact HVAC service to cloud services and the proactive and timely resolution of such incidents.
• Implementing and overseeing all security and compliance policies for datacenters to ensure all local systems meet the requirements set down by Customers.
• Contribute to regional and Pan India improvement programs as required.
• Assist with the review and approval of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, spend, vendor resourcing models, and reconciliation of same.
Education & Experience Credentials:
• "Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a minimum of 12+ years of HVAC Mechanical Engineering in Design /O&M / OEM equipment service . Data Centre Experience will be preferred.
• Demonstrated experience showing proficiency in conducting load calculations, systems design, layouts, and trade coordination is a must."
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, load calculations. Proficient in HVAC Mechanical design fundamentals and systems applications
