Duties
Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
Interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues
Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and preventative care to ensure optimal operation
Conduct plumbing and mechanical repairs related to HVAC systems and appliances in residential settings
Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to identify faults and execute repairs efficiently
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for each job performed
Communicate clearly with customers about system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations
Requirements
Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans
Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, boiler systems, and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Familiarity with field service operations including appliance repair and air conditioning systems
Ability to operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and perform complex mechanical tasks confidently
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
