Responsibilities
Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal ductwork according to project specifications and schematics
Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices such as ohmmeters to complete installations accurately
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system issues related to air conditioning, refrigeration, or ventilation components during installation or service calls
Perform maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment including boilers, refrigeration units, and appliances to ensure optimal operation
Conduct field service work involving property maintenance, appliance repair, or mechanical system adjustments as needed
Follow safety protocols diligently while working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other hazardous materials
Skills
Strong knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC ductwork installation and sheet metal fabrication
Experience as a service technician in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems or property maintenance roles
Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately
Mechanical knowledge covering plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and boiler operation
Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for equipment repair and troubleshooting
Welding experience for duct fabrication or repairs; familiarity with equipment repair procedures
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R field service work
Mechanical aptitude with a focus on appliance repair, maintenance tasks, and system troubleshooting
Ability to work safely in environments involving refrigerants like ammonia or other hazardous substances
