Zeus Hydratech Limited are looking for a full-time on-site role for a Hydraulic Design Engineer located in the south of Bristol.

Role Description
The engineer will be responsible for:
• Designing both outline concept & detailed hydraulic power units (HPUs)
• Producing hydraulic schematics. (Preferably with HydroSym 2D software)
• Producing General Arrangement drawings for HPU design. (Preferably with Solidworks 3D software but not critical)
• Preparation of detailed flow, pressure and sizing calculations.
• Selection of suitable hydraulic components.
• Preparation of detailed costing sheets.
• Selection of hydraulic fittings (knowledge of metric & BSP fittings is necessary)
• Collaborating with the sales and costing department.
• Providing technical support to internal sales engineers.
Qualities And Experience Required
• Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering skills.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) – This is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience in fabrication and stress calculation techniques.
• Knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles.
• Proven experience in hydraulic power unit design.
• Proficiency in hydraulic schematic comprehension & creation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant industry certifications or training.
