Overview
The IB EYP Homeroom Teachers / Pre School Teachers play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners. They are responsible for creating a foundation for future academic success and facilitating holistic development in line with the IB Early Years Programme.
Key Responsibilities
• Implementing the IB Early Years Programme curriculum
• Creating engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Managing the classroom and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
• Assessing and documenting student progress
• Communicating effectively with parents and guardians
• Integrating technology into the learning environment
• Collaborating with fellow educators and specialists
• Organizing and supervising educational and recreational activities
• Supporting the social and emotional development of students
• Participating in professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education
• Valid teaching certification
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with the IB Early Years Programme
• Understanding of early childhood development principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
