IBM Sterling OMS Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for an IBM Sterling OMS developer who is proficient with all the product modules and

modular services. Your primary focus will be on supporting the existing application and developing

enhancements in Sterling across various flows like order processing, inventory, agents/ integration

servers, carrier integrations, reverse logistics, etc. You will ensure that these components and the

overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team

working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem

solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities:

 Create Technical design, independently code, unit test, and deploy various

components of IBM Sterling Commerce OMS like services, custom APIs,

transactions, events, DB extensions etc.

 Perform Database design for custom components.

 Support various phases of testing in Agile delivery Apply strong design,

development, and troubleshooting skills to deliver quality work.

 Take initiative to learn and research new concepts, and technologies quickly and

work in a team-oriented, collaborative env.

 Ensure that implementations meet the required scalability, safety and reliability

standards

 Ensure proper alerting and control mechanisms are built into the design while

performing enhancements

 Analyze, troubleshoot and solve issues which occur in production to maintain the

stability and availability of the system

 Co-ordinate with various integrating teams and business partners as needed to

deliver enhancements and solve issues

Skills:

Must Have:

 Hands on knowledge of developing new features using IBM Sterling Order Management

system, Java/J2EE, XML, XSD, XSL, SOAP, REST Web service, MQ

 5+ year experience of IBM Sterling OMS configuration and customization.

 Should have strong knowledge on order processing functions like Catalogue

management, Inventory Management, Sourcing Scheduling, Payment, Distributed Order

Management, Supply Collaboration, Reverse Logistics

 Integration experience with Third Party Applications (examples: 3PL Carriers, Tax

Processors, Payment Processors, etc.).

 Working knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS Angular modules like Order Hub and Next-gen

Call Center

Good to Have:

 Working knowledge of Spring Framework and latest Java/J2EE concepts is a plus

Working knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus, Also worked on SFCC/Web

commerce integration

 Google Cloud Platform

 OpenShift Container Platform

 AngularJS basics to build customizations on Order Hub and Next Gen Call Center

 Experience with IBM Sterling modular services like order service, intelligent promising,
