Job Description
The Senior Business Unit Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a department. The role drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks include managing the governance and control framework, project managing business initiatives, managing external and internal audits, and addressing regulatory issues. The Senior Business Unit Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and maintain the control framework for the wider business including managing Internal & External Audits & Compliance Testing, maintaining MCA/GRC, Operational Loss analysis and driving delivery of corrective action plans
Coordinator of business-driven projects across functions, driving implementation and working closely with relevant senior stakeholders
Provide input into and proactively drive enhancements across the control framework and operating models
Ensure corrective actions plans are implemented with a goal of driving a robust, efficient and scalable solutions
Engage in cost management activities, such as validating spending and cost saving initiatives, monitoring savings initiatives and expenses, as well as monitoring consistency between financial information, productivity information and HR reports
Prepare regular and ad-hoc presentations for senior stakeholders
Prepare department-wide presentations to discuss performance (e.g., Town Halls)
Prepare deep-dive presentations for regulatory reviews / meetings on behalf of Business Heads
Liaise with HR to manage / monitor the hiring process and develop appropriate controls and reporting to ensure discipline regarding budgeted commitments
Assist with capacity planning, real estate analytics and location strategy
Qualifications and Competencies:
10 - 15 years of relevant experience
Advanced Excel & Powerpoint skills
Experience preparing Senior Management / Regulatory presentations
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across all levels of management and geographic locations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
