Our client is a leading global co-educational day and boarding school for ages 2-18 having it’s first campus in India based out of Pune. The school will follow the English National Curriculum and IGCSEs with students progressing to the IB Diploma Programme offering unparalleled excellence in sports, music, and the arts.
Roles & responsibilities
• Manage the IT revenue and capital expenditure budget
• Agreeing and managing a four-year rolling capital expenditure budget
• Research and advise on future network needs
• Supervise, lead and manage the IT Technician
• Specify, order and install new equipment, network peripherals and consumables
• Purchase and install educational software
• Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks
• Manage user accounts
• Manage email system
• Manage anti-virus system
• Manage the website and web filtering systems
• Manage the telephony system
• Manage the CCTV system
• Provide and maintain servers for ISAMS
• Ensure regular backups (Both on and off site)
• Member of IT Strategy and Development Sub Committee
• With technician provide frontline support to users
• Researching, writing and presenting business cases for IT projects
• Manage and lead cyber security across IT infrastructure
• Perform yearly penetration testing on network
• Responsible for all aspects of IT security
• Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure.
• Oversee a coherent approach to cloud and shared drive storage, and systems for academic departments in conjunction with the IT support staff.
• Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
• Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap
• Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the organization.
• Direct the activities of the help desk to ensure the IT needs of users are met
• Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
• Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
• Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
• Performing routine system audits
• Organizing and establishing deadlines for major IT projects such system updates, migrations, upgrades, and outages
• Running routine system operations reports and sharing them with top employees
• Looking for opportunities to train and build teamwork skills
• Managing and reporting on the IT budget’s allocation
• Creating and implementing the organization’s IT policy and best practice manuals
Requirements
• Qualifications: Graduate in any field with appropriate certificate/diploma courses for handling area of operations.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar field.
• Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) qualification
• CCNA and experience in managing wired and wireless enterprise grade network topologies and firewalls
• Experience in managing Office 365 and the integration with onsite Student Information Systems or equivalent
• Understanding of server and client operating systems and applications used in school settings, including SSO, Exchange
• Experience in managing software deployment
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in networking, hardware & software
• At least three years’ experience in a Senior Systems Administrator role
• Possess a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills
• An effective communicator with all stakeholders
• An ability to lead staff and build capacity
• Have the ability to find solutions through creative thinking and collaboration
• Have a service ethic
• A willingness to be a member of a team and to work collegially with other staff members
• High level of professional standards and conduct
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
