Job Description
• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities or changes to the physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions, injections, and pain management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, assessments, and care provided in the patient’s medical records.
• Perform thorough physical assessments of patients to detect any changes in condition and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with the medical team, including doctors, respiratory therapists, and other nursing staff, to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and patient data to help inform medical decisions.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, explaining medical procedures, care plans, and prognosis.
• Offer guidance and comfort to families during critical situations, ensuring clear communication about the patient’s condition.
• Assist in preparing patients and families for discharge or transfer to other care units when necessary.
