Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist
Place of Work: Corporate Function
Function: Information Technology
Job Purpose:
The role entails the responsibility to manage, support and monitor server and IT infrastructure of the bank. It includes maintaining and supporting software, interacting with internal cross-functional teams on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Play a primary role in developing strategic plans of IT infrastructure plus operational aspects of application execution within infrastructure security.
• Evaluate and recommend necessary changes in performance tuning, IT infrastructure design and monitoring.
• Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining applications within IT infrastructure.
• Support in developing strategic plans of IT infrastructure plus operational aspects of application execution.
• Support the installation of applications for system production and testing to ensure maximum support through applying best practices.
• Develop IT infrastructure-related scripts to automate manual tasks and streamline operational activities.
• Assess feedback to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management and highlight issues that need to be addressed.
• Provide a general framework and environment to assist application developers and maintain activities.
• Provide guidance and training to project team members in the field regarding IT infrastructure.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the team.
• Create an environment that promotes collaborative learning and collective ownership of responsibilities.
• Ensure that IT infrastructure requests are handled according to agreed procedures.
• Conduct complex technical evaluations, design reviews, and recommend proposed physical and logical designs.
• Liaise with external vendors to resolve IT infrastructure issues efficiently.
• Stay abreast of global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
