Hours: Full-time (1 FTE)

Contract: Fixed term contract until June 2027

Location: Kaurna Country, Solasta Klemzig with the requirement to travel to all IEA Consortium locations

About the Role:

The Claims Officer is responsible for the lodgement of all claims in the Department IT System. The Claims Officer will ensure correctness of documentary evidence prior to the lodgement of a claim, and where are additional evidence is required communicate directly with the staff involved in the participants support to obtain.

The Claims Officer will work closely with the Employment Service Area Manager’s to ensure all claims are lodged in a timely manner. It involves collating work evidence documentation and submitting outcome claims for payment. Other duties will include processing wage subsidies and advising Employment Services Staff on outcome guideline complexities. Daily collaboration with Employment Service Area Managers on claims tracking to outcome is a critical role.


Experience Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships
Proven ability to monitor and ensure contractual compliance
Excellent time management skills, with the capacity to prioritise, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
Well-developed problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Sound judgement and confident decision-making skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
Demonstrated administrative, reporting, and computer proficiency, including advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
Working knowledge of government contracts, frameworks, and compliance guidelines
Solid understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and information handling principles
Experience managing and processing outcome claims
Demonstrated experience in contract management within Employment and/or Disability Services sectors

Qualification and Other Requirements:

Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Current or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening
Current Drivers Licence
