We Offer
An engineering position in the bank’s central financial messaging IT team. We are responsible for architecting, engineering, and supporting the bank’s major electronic channels to the global financial services market. Our team is a key enabler for the bank’s operations function and is servicing divisions and branches across the world.
An opportunity to own and develop highly resilient and performing financial messaging services putting the bank in a position to access counterparties and financial market infrastructures on a 24/7 basis and to stay abreast of new developments like instant payments, blockchain technology or new messaging standards and protocols. You will closely work with internal IT infrastructure providers and external software vendors on negotiating, agreeing on and implementing solutions. You will be the accountable IT owner of those solutions and be part of their 3rd line support team.

You are a leader with vision in financial services integration topics and are keen on applying state-of-the-art technology in the SWIFT domain, helping the bank to react to constantly evolving and highly regulated financial services landscape. As executor, you are a creative problem solver with a distinct “can-do” attitude and a strong sense of ownership. You are used to commit to deliver and expertly work towards deadlines in a dynamic yet process driven environment where project work, production maintenance and third level support activities require you to actively manage your priorities. You have outstanding interpersonal-skills and a communicative personality that values visibility. You can clearly articulate your thoughts to diverse partner groups and feel comfortable to work with senior business and IT partners
You have a good understanding of financial messaging. Especially, you have a proven foundation in one or more of the following areas
• OS scripting and deployment of application components, DevOps tools and toolchains (RedHat Linux)
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
• Financial messaging software vendor products (e.g., SWIFT Alliance Suite, including AMH)
• SWIFT, SIC/SECOM or Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) protocols and services
Skills specific to the financial messaging domain are an asset, e.g.
• IP Networking knowhow (esp. around DMZ network architectures)
• Relational database technology (Oracle, Oracle RAC)
