Position Overview
As an Image Retoucher for Jewellery Photography, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and retouching jewellery product images to ensure they meet our high-quality standards. You will collaborate closely with our photography team to create stunning visuals that captivate our customers and showcase our jewellery in the best light possible.
• Key Responsibilities
- Image Retouching: Use advanced photo editing software to retouch and enhance jewellery product images, ensuring they are visually appealing and accurate representations of the products.
- Colour Correction: Adjust color balance, saturation, and brightness to achieve accurate and consistent colors across all images.
- Background Removal: Skillfully remove backgrounds or replace them with a clean, white or custom background, maintaining focus on the jewellery.
- Detail Enhancement: Highlight the intricate details of jewellery pieces, including gemstones, metals, and textures.
- Consistency: Maintain consistency in editing style and quality across all images to create a cohesive and polished look for our product catalog.
- Quality Control: Review and assess images for any imperfections, ensuring that final images meet our brand's high standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our photography team to discuss creative concepts, editing requirements, and image feedback.
- Workflow Management: Organize and manage a large volume of images efficiently, meeting deadlines and prioritizing urgent requests.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new photo editing techniques to continuously improve your skills.
• Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Photo Editor, ideally with a portfolio showcasing jewellery photography retouching skills.
- Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
- Excellent colour correction skills and an understanding of colour theory.
- Knowledge of jewellery photography best practices and terminology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- A passion for jewellery and an understanding of its unique characteristics is a plus.
