Job Description
This role is responsible for designing, overseeing, and executing the FCSO Data Strategy across all FCSO Processes (TM, NS, TS). By ensuring the efficient and effective operation and usage of data, the role acts as an interface to stakeholders external to the FCSO Data Team (up- and downstream), ensuring effective integration of the Data Management process with other processes to meet requirements.
In addition to driving the detailed design and roadmap for FCSO Data Assets, this role leads and drives the team of FCSO Data Analysts who are responsible for the research, development and definition of Data logic required to support FCSO Processes and Data Management.
The role requires a good balance between core Data Analysis skills (Data Translation, Visualisation, Transformation), Technical Data skills (SQL, Python, Big Data) and Financial Crime domain knowledge (AML, Sanctions and Case Management).
Strategy
• Support the Head of FCSO Data Management to design in detail and implement a cohesive Data Strategy across FCSO that helps to maximise the effectiveness of the Financial Crime fighting Processes as efficiently as possible and minimising Data and operational risks. Working with FCSO Process Owners, constantly look to expand the availability, consistency and quality of Data used for Financial Crime to increase our capabilities. Finally, partner with up- and downstream business teams to ensure that FCSO remains aligned with the rest of the Bank in terms of products, systems and roadmaps (e.g., new client or product offerings, system or data technology transformation) and be a champion for FCSO Data requirements to the wider Bank.
Business
• Create and enforce policies for effective Data Management
• Define and maintain a Data Roadmap and Data Catalogue that makes Data easily but safely available across FCSO, remains current as the Bank s systems evolve and enables ever more advanced Financial Crime detection capabilities.
• Pilot, test, and document Data logic required to support FCSO solutions, owning and centralising the functional requirements (to be executed and automated by Data Engineers) that support the FCSO Data Platform.
• Support external parties in leveraging the FCSO dataset, within an agreed framework and monitor database usage across the FCSO ecosystem.
• Work across internal and external teams to identify and escalate capacity constraints,
