Standard Chartered Bank serves business clients across three client facing divisions: Corporate and Institutional Clients, Commercial and Private Banking Clients, and Retail Clients ( RC ). These customers are served in over 70 markets.
An increasingly important element of our banking capability for these clients is to meet our regulatory requirements around areas such as know your customer ("KYC"), anti-money laundering; ("AML") and customer due diligence ("CDD").
This is a Senior manager role within the Retail Business Banking Group AML CDD Team, who will provide support in Business analysis / FCC related analysis on ongoing data analytics, AI and simulation activities for Business Banking Clients. The role requires the person to understand the Business Banking clients data model / systems and be able to Perform ongoing assessment, identify gaps and follow-up with business / process owners for remediation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate should have a fair understanding of Anti Money Laundering, Financial Crime and Client due diligence
Should have strong analytical skills and able to handle data analytics based on Business, FCC or Country requirements.
Should be able understand the underlying data model for BB AML CDD platform and have a fair understanding of the upstream / downstream data lineage.
Support business / FCC related analysis on ongoing data analytics / reports and simulation activities.
Use data analysis to simplify / automate and come up with risk-based initiatives (A3) / solutions.
Proactively Identify data gaps and data anomaly s and establish controls in process, EMF or systemic fixes.
Perform controls assessment, identify gaps and follow-up with business / process owners for remediation.
Work with the CRA team on ongoing DQ, model management, IA and recalibration process periodically on the BB CRA model
Be the point of contact with all BB upstream / downstream system interface teams for all data related actions.
Able to effectively implement the data quality requirements and manage data SLA impacts of change across business functions and technology teams.
Conduct gap analysis against the established framework & guidelines to assess levels of adherence.
Work closely with the Group Functions and Business Areas to implement / enhance data quality controls and documentation.
Ability to think End to End, Strong eye for details and able to take things to logical conclusions.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in working in a business role in Business Banking or Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking in a data analytics role
Strong in using data analytics tools, programs and software s.
