[Immediate Start] Senior Software Engineer

You proactively watch user sessions, understand the product and design side of things, and truly get what we solve for with every feature.Responsibilities:As our Backend Engineer, you will build best-in-class features.You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and work with leadership to create a long-term technical vision.- Own Foundational Features: You would be responsible for shipping major features that have impact on customers. You will individually contribute and work with the team to reliably ship full features to customers.- Review and Debug Code: You will review code and help debug bugs. In our organisation, every engineer does 1 day of tech support work each week to stay close to customers and experience problems first-hand.- Improve Performance and Reliability: Part of your work would involve optimizing older code to improve performance and make product more reliable for our customers.- Customer Support: All engineers do customer support weekly once. This helps you stay close to the front-line of customer issues and build empathy.Requirements- You have an extensive background in software engineering with at least 2 years of experience in a backend engineer role (or equivalent) role at an early-stage SaaS company.- You have a proven technical pedigree for building and scaling complex architectures and ecosystems for high-growth companies.- Solid Typescript, MongoDB, Postgres, and NodeJS skills (MERN primarily)- You have clear architectural skills around memory management, security, event management, distributed systems, and other key architectural concepts.- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs- Experience with Amazon Web Services including , EC2, S3, Lambda, and SQS- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps- Familiarity with AI systems and a basic understanding of how training models works would be helpful in this role.Our Interview Process- Intro Call- Interview with Head of Engineering- Small take-home project if you qualify- Speak with Founder- Reference checks- You’re hired!
