Job Summary: Import & Logistics Manager
Location: Chikkabidarakallu, Bengaluru (On-Site)
Experience: 7 Years
Role OverviewAs a mission-critical senior individual contributor, you will own the end-to-end import lifecycle for CKD kits and finished goods. You will be the single point of accountability for customs compliance, duty optimization, and domestic supply chain management in a high-volume electronics environment.
Core ResponsibilitiesImport Management: Plan and execute end-to-end global imports (primarily China/SE Asia) via sea, air, and courier, ensuring correct CKD/SKD/Finished Goods classification.
Customs & Compliance: Own the full Bill of Entry (BoE) process, manage SVB references, and liaise directly with Customs Officers to resolve queries and assessments.
Cost Optimization: Compute total landed costs and leverage FTA/PTA benefits and exemption notifications to minimize duty outgo.
Regulatory Mastery: Manage mandatory registrations including BIS, WPC, CDSCO, and E-waste/EPR compliance.
Supply Chain & Warehouse: Oversee inbound logistics from ports to the Bengaluru warehouse and optimize last-mile delivery to Amazon, Flipkart, and retail partners.
Risk Management: Maintain a zero-penalty and demurrage-free track record through rigorous document verification and proactive risk mitigation.
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Supply Chain; MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics/EXIM preferred.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Indian Customs Act, DGFT policies, ICEGATE, and IGST implications on imports.
Experience: Proven track record in handling Customs assessments and managing 3PL/last-mile e-commerce fulfillment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)100% on-time customs clearance with zero demurrage.Zero errors in BoE submissions and regulatory compliance.Effective reduction in landed costs through duty optimization.
