About the Role

Oversee daily international freight forwarding operations of the Global Account Aerospace Development team, managing import/export/domestic shipments and leading a small team of specialists. This role ensures operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency of identified Aerospace Accounts of NNR USA while serving as a key liaison for international coordination.

Responsibilities
• Directly supervise and support end-to-end international freight forwarding operations in the Global Account Aerospace Development team operations.
• Assist in creating and implementing operational procedures for the Aerospace team.
• Manage and mentor Aerospace specialists.
• Support with overall retention and growth of the Aerospace Vertical.
• Assist with Aerospace RFQ’s, spot quotes and follow up with customers.
• Support with 365/7 AOG shipments including quoting, scheduling and coordination of shipments.
• Coordination with NOEC team for AOG tracking, service and reporting.
• Coordinate and establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, truckers and airlines specific to Aerospace to build out infrastructure to support growth for the Aerospace Vertical.
• Close coordination and collaboration with NNR USA branches including NNR overseas Aerospace team.
• Create standardized tariffs for major Aerospace lanes and keep them updated for quick response to quotations.
• Maintain close working relationship with overseas staff, including inquiries of pricing and support required for existing/new Aerospace clients.
• Provide “root cause” analysis for service-related issues such as missed on time departures, loss, damage theft, airline failures etc.
• Provide training, if necessary, ensuring that all operations staff have the information required to assist with Aerospace business.
• Work closely with Aerospace Vertical Team to maintain and expand the Aerospace business.
• Responsible for overview of shipment handling procedures, compliance, charging and invoicing issues.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Assist Global Account Development Manager in special projects.
• Comply at all times with NNR USA standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient business operations.
• Attend meetings/training as required by management.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications
• High School degree or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent 2 years industry supervisory experience.
• 5 plus years of Freight Forwarding industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the global freight forwarding industry, air, ocean, and surface.
• Hands-on experience with handling Aerospace business including but not limited to AOG, MRO, parts and components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced in analytics, process driven, detail oriented and able to work independently.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office application software.
• Physical requirements: Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light/Medium work - Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Overnight travel may be required, including foreign travel.
• Employee must have a valid driver’s license.

Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of the global freight forwarding industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Preferred Skills
• Hands-on experience with handling Aerospace business.
• Experienced in analytics and process-driven.

Pay range and compensation package

$ 75,0000 - $85,000
