We have an exciting opportunity at Downer Group for an IMS (Integrated Management System) Content Specialist. If you are a technical writer/content writer, preferably with experience in a head office/corporate environment, and you enjoy collaborating and facilitating workshops with subject matter experts and stakeholders, then we would love to hear from you!
This is a permanent, newly created role reporting to the Delivery Support & IMS Manager. You will be working in a collaborative, close-knit team.
About Your Role
The IMS Content Specialist role is responsible for Content Development and Management, Support and Training.
Key responsibilities will include:
Research, gather, and analyse information from various sources to understand the subject matter.
Collaborate and facilitate workshops with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to gather the necessary information for content creation.
Create, write, edit, and proofread a variety of IMS content, documents and materials.
Conduct document quality checks to ensure new and existing documents are accurate, consistent and follow IMS writing standards, guidelines, and principles.
Provide user support and training on IMS standards, guidelines, and principles.

You are a dynamic and influential communicator, adept at engaging and building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, confidently presenting to audiences at all levels within the organisation. With exceptional time management skills, you consistently deliver results while managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines. You will also bring with you:
Proven experience as a technical writer, content manager or specialist, preferably in a head office/corporate environment.
Experience in training and guiding others on writing standards, guidelines, and principles.
Experience with document and content management systems.
Proficiency in documentation tools and software, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Planner, Teams), with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for content management and technical writing.
