About the Role

The In-Country Manager will serve as the primary representative of a leading USA-based Medical School, responsible for strengthening the institution’s footprint in the Indian market.

The role focuses on student recruitment , building institutional partnerships , agent network management , and enhancing brand visibility among students aspiring for medical education abroad (MD / MBBS pathways).

The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of the Indian higher-education ecosystem, especially in the medical and health sciences domain , and have proven experience in managing recruitment cycles for USA / Caribbean based institutions, counselling students / families, establishing institutional partnerships and executing market expansion strategies.

1. Student Recruitment & Pipeline Development
• Develop and execute a student recruitment strategy to increase enrolments from India for the MD / medical programs.
• Conduct Counsellor engagement programs, webinars, and outreach events for students and parents.
• Represent the university at education fairs(Medical Career Fairs), career events, school / university presentations, and agent training engagements.
• Provide timely market insights and competitor mapping to refine recruitment strategies.

2. Agent Network Management & Channel Development
• Identify, onboard, train, and manage education agents across India, specializing in medical / health sciences recruitment.
• Build strong relationships with partner agencies; conduct regular training and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, brand messaging, and ethical recruitment standards.
• Support agents with marketing collateral, program updates, and communication resources.

3. Partnerships & Alliances (India)
• Develop partnerships with Indian schools, colleges, skill centres, coaching academies (NEET / medical prep), and pre-med institutions.
• Build partnerships with Indian undergraduate institutions (BSc / Life Sciences) to create progression pathways into university’s MD program.
• Establish school engagement with focus on recruitment of IB / International curriculum students who are ineligible for NEET
• Facilitate articulation agreements, progression pathways, and collaborative academic opportunities.

4. Marketing, Outreach & Brand Visibility
• Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, digital outreach, seminar series, and region-specific activities.
• Work with regional / global marketing teams to customize India-focused campaigns.
• Promote success stories, alumni engagement, and program differentiators to strengthen brand presence in India’s medical education market.

5. Compliance, Reporting & Coordination
• Maintain accurate records of student data, pipeline status, and recruitment activities.
• Submit periodic reports on market trends, leads, conversions, and partnership outcomes.
• Coordinate with the admissions, marketing, and academic teams in the US and UK
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regional regulatory requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of medical education pathways , NEET ecosystem, and Indian medical counselling landscape.
• Experience in international student recruitment for medical universities / schools in the USA or Caribbean is a must, preferably for health sciences / medical programs.
• Ability to build and manage partnerships with institutions and agents.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking with a strong market understanding of India’s education sector and the USA Medical Education.
• High level of initiative, ownership, and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India and occasional travel to US / UK

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred (Education, Healthcare, Business, or related fields).
• 4-6 years of experience in international education, student recruitment, or partnerships—preferably within medical / health sciences.
• Proven track record of delivering enrolment targets in the Indian market.
• Experience working with USA based Medical education institutions will be a preference
