Responsibilities
This intern would have the opportunity to work with in-house attorneys on a variety of issues, including both transactional and litigation matters
Some areas of exposure may include contract negotiation, drafting, and interpretation; finance; intellectual property; employment law matters; litigation management and document review; real estate purchases, sales, and leases; and mergers and acquisitions
This position will be on-site Monday – Thursday, with optional remote work on Fridays

Support attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts, employment policies, litigation-related documents, and other legal materials

Help with document management and review for ongoing litigation matters, including organizing evidence, summarizing case files, and assisting with discovery
Work alongside in-house attorneys and other departments to support legal projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to legal guidelines
Provide general support to the legal department, including managing deadlines, organizing files, and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds

Summary:

CES is in search of a legal intern for the summer of 2026. This intern would have the opportunity to work with in-house attorneys on a variety of issues, including both transactional and litigation matters. Some areas of exposure may include contract negotiation, drafting, and interpretation; finance; intellectual property; employment law matters; litigation management and document review; real estate purchases, sales, and leases; and mergers and acquisitions.

Essential Job Functions:
• Assist in conducting legal research on a variety of topics, including contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and real estate matters, providing support to in-house counsel in preparing case strategies and legal documents.

Education/Experience:
• Current 2L or 3E at an ABA-accredited law school.
• Law Review, Journal, Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, or other similar, proven detail-oriented writing experience preferred.
