Roles and Responsibilities
Officer I/C House Keeping
1. To put up monthly requirement of hygiene chemical and other material required for cleaning the buildings including wards and toilets.
2. To ensure that the cleaning material and equipment are available in adequate amounts.
3. To take report and checklist from housekeeping supervisors working under his supervision and ensure that they should meet specifications and established standards. The checklist has been submitted in HR Office daily.
4. To ensure that the checklist of toilets has been filled daily and submitted in his office monthly.
5. To evaluate performance of housekeeping staff and recommend to management about promotions, transfers, and dismissals of housekeeping staff.
6. To ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
7. To co-ordinate with departments to investigate the complaints of housekeeping services and take corrective action.
8. To instruct staff about the procedure of cleaning, use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
+. To check and ensure the maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
10. To ensure the proper maintenance of boards & hoardings of hospital and up keeping of all the departments.
11. To co-ordinate with health inspector for controlling infections.
12. To ensure that in- patients have adequate clean linen (all types) for daily usage.
13. To ensure the replacement of torn and worn out curtains.
14. To ensure that campus especially surroundings are kept dry and clean.
15. To watch the removal of bio medical and general waste timely.
16. To recommend changes to improve service and increase operational efficiency.
17. To plan and prepare staff work schedules and monitors the maintenance of attendance of Safai Karamchari as per NMC norms.
18. To ensure the attendance of sweepers of all contractors as per terms and conditions.
1+. To ensure the availability of housekeeping staff round the clock specially in inspection.
20. To appoint housekeeping staff as and when required and approved by Management.
21. To send complaints relating the house keeping in maintenance cell.
22. To submit departmental checklist to Hospital Administrator on daily basis in case employee in on leave, the reliever of employee will have to submit the checklist. Employee will brief all his duties and responsibilities to his reliever before going on leave.
23. Any other work as assigned by the management.
