The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Incident Review Officer to provide a critical role within the Operational Assurance, Compliance and Reviews.
About the Business Unit
The role of an Incident Review Officer reports to the Operations Manager, Prison Incidents and is responsible for assisting in the collation of incident information across the prison system. In order to do this, the Incident Review Officer will manage a variety of tasks including liaising with prison staff and other stakeholders; gathering of prison incident documents; collating, reviewing and providing incident information; and maintaining incident data in both MS Excel and Access.
About the Role
Some of your duties will include:
Liaise with prison staff to collate prison incident documentation.
Work alongside and provide administrative support to Incident Review Analysts and other members of the Operational Assurance and Compliance team.
Maintain the prison incident database and analyse the data to identify emerging issues and trends to contribute to the identification and management of organisational risks, business improvement, policy development and achievement of performance outputs.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Knowledge and understanding of Corrections Victoria's prison operations, policies and procedures or ability to learn.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining databases and collating information to assist in identifying emerging issues and trends contributing to the identification and management of organisational risks, business improvement, policy development and achievement of performance outputs.
Proficient computer literacy skills in PIMS, Centurion, Outlook, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel and Access databases
Qualifications/requirements
Completion of the Corrections Victoria Prison Officer pre-service training.
