Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
North Shore Refrigeration is a locally owned and operated business serving the North Shore and greater Lower Mainland for over 50 years. We're a small, tight-knit team who take pride in delivering high-quality, personalized service across commercial refrigeration, HVAC, residential heat pumps, and marine applications. We're looking for a skilled Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis.
What You'll Be Doing
Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, brewery/hospitality equipment)
Installing and servicing commercial and residential HVAC systems, including heat pumps and split systems
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of refrigeration and HVAC equipment
Performing preventative maintenance and providing customers with honest, straightforward recommendations
Completing service documentation and work orders accurately
Delivering the level of professionalism and care our customers have come to expect
What We're Looking For
Valid BC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (Journeyman) certification or Red Seal equivalent
Solid hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in the field
Valid driver's licence with a clean abstract
Reliable, professional, and easy to work with — we're a small team and culture matters
Marine refrigeration/HVAC experience is a definite asset
