We have an exciting opportunity for a Network / Sr. Network Engineer in our Global IT Team As a key part of the infrastructure discipline within the IT Ops function in Inchcape, you will be responsible for working with all elements of the ISS IT Team this including helpdesk and application support teams as well as development teams as a 3rd level of escalation. The Role delivering projects such as mergers and acquisitions, greenfield setups, cloud migrations, and equipment refresh. While also maintaining/monitoring the Existing applications and server environment in place.
Key Accountabilities
• Provide Middle-level support within the Networking team for technical issues.
• Administer global WAN and LAN configurations on existing Cisco equipment including TDM, Broadband, VSAT, VLANs, STP, VTP, and TCP/IP routing.
• LAN-to-LAN (WAN) IPSEC VPN gateway administration. Experience with DMVPN.
• Manage remote access environment and all RAS users including but not limited to Cisco VPN.
• Maintain Cisco firewall appliance configuration and software.
• Maintain Cisco IOS firewall implementations.
• Maintain Cisco access points and Meraki
• CISCO CCIE qualification required.
• Maintain and implement cloud networking such as Azure and AWS
• Maintain Citrix Load Balancers
• Complete refresh of network hardware, ensuring devices are supported and updated to the latest firmware
• End-to-end Network project planning and implementation.
• Mentoring of junior Engineers.
• Support of Senior Network Engineers
• Maintain Cisco Switch installations including Catalyst Series experience.
• AWS load Balancer -understanding of maintenance and managing.
• AWS virtual Cisco routers and Firewalls - understanding of maintenance and managing.
• AWS VPC and general Networking - understanding of maintenance and managing.
• AWS VPN knowledge.
• AWS bringing your own IP experience would be an advantage.
• Grafana monitoring software.
• Monitoring software (SolarWinds Preferably)
• Global responsibility for security including network and Internet security and LAN/WAN security.
• Work within strict change management structures to comply with standards.
• Work with the Helpdesk ticketing response system.
• Maintain network inventor
• Document all current system deployments and log changes
• Create and maintain network monitoring procedures and knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, and Netflow technologies and deployment.
• Knowledge of Monitoring Platforms (AWS Cloud Watch and SolarWinds Preferable
• Build new network and system deployments according to specified logical plans.
• Be able to integrate new additional offices.
• Provide problem troubleshooting and resolution to the end-user community.
• Closely working with the service desk to resolve user issues and setup
• Assist with complex production network issues
• Coordinating Testing activities.
• To effectively communicate across countries. Requires travel and coordination.
• To provide user support, patiently, timely, and in an un-patronizing manner.
• Coordinate with other groups within ISS to deliver projects and deal with escalated issues.
• To provide escalated support to any level of user whilst on-call
• Assist in managing risks and tracking issues.
• Experience working across multiple teams to Help design applications – particularly within Cloud environments Identifying ports in use, assigning i.p. addresses, etc.
• The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures.
