We are seeking an experienced and skilled Indian Commis- 1 to join our culinary team. The Indian Cook/Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, including regional specialties and cooking techniques. They must possess strong culinary skills, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, etc, and other regional specialties, while adhering to traditional recipes and techniques.
· Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented according to established standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
· Estimate food requirements and order necessary supplies to maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper food safety and hygiene practices.
· Monitor and control food costs by minimizing waste and effectively utilizing ingredients.
· Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques to continually enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as an Indian Commis-1/2, preferably in a Resort kitchen environment.
· In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations, spices, and cooking techniques.
· Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare and present dishes of exceptional taste, quality, and visual appeal.
· Creativity and ability to develop new dishes and menus that showcase Indian flavors.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Ability to work effectively in a team and lead kitchen staff.
· Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
