Position : Indirect Tax Litigation Expert (GST)
Good Drafting Skills Is Must. Consulting Firm Experience Needed.
Open for Relocating Candidate
Responsibilities And Duties
• Managing all tax and legal litigation assignments of the firm.
• Assistance in quality research and preparing litigation strategies for clients.
• Involved in drafting of reply to Show Cause Notices, appeals and writ petitions.
• Attending Personal Hearings at different levels, including High Courts.
• Involved in drafting and preparing written opinions for clients.
• Involved in drafting briefs for review with Sr. Counsel / Counsel for writ related matters.
• Involved in updating clients about recent changes in law and their implications on their business.
• Conducting Trainings for internal team members
Job Overview
In-depth understanding of the tax laws viz. GST Law, Customs Act, Income Tax Act and rules thereunder.
Experience of visiting tax offices and attending Personal Hearings will be an added advantage.
Experience of leading a team.
The Candidate should be proficient in both oral and written communication.
The candidate should also excel in working in MS Excel as well as Word.
Qualification
Semi-qualified / Qualified Chartered Accountant or a lawyer with minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in the field of Indirect taxation.
