POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the part-time (.50 FTE) permanent position of Industrial Arts Teacher effective September 2, 2026. We are seeking an educator who has a passion for teaching in a woodworking environment. The individual needs to have excellent relational skills, the ability to take ownership over their work, and a strong sense of how to create a culture of safety in the shop.
REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
Previous Industrial Arts teaching/industry experience preferred
A sound knowledge of provincial Industrial Arts curriculum
Strong classroom management skills
A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic school division located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. The division has a student population of about 4,300 and we have 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland and Blumengart.
