The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting an Industrial Electrician to join the team at Visy Cans, Wiri. This is a permanent full-time role, working 12 hours, on day shift. It is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with maintenance and operations teams across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will work with other members within the site electrician team, leading initiatives in reducing plant downtime by conducting preventative maintenance activities, breakdown repairs, general electrical fault-finding, and to work on projects as required. You will use SAP to record and plan maintenance activities along with maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality and the environment.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have a Full NZ Electrical Trade License, an Electrical trade qualification and a minimum of 3 years maintenance experience from a high-volume manufacturing environment or similar industry. Electrical and Electronics fault-finding (with Printed Circuit Boards, PLC’s and Motor Controls) will be a strength of yours, as well as reading electrical schematics. You will have experience in Allen Bradley software. You will be self-motivated and have a proactive approach. You are a team player that has proficient computer skills, along with good written and verbal communication skills. You value the safety of yourself and others above all else.
