The Industrial Engineer drives operational excellence across facilities by standardizing engineered processes, optimizing dock door and chute configurations, and scaling cross-dock and sortation improvements. This role blends analytical work with field-based execution, using data to design solutions centrally and then leading on-site implementations that reduce rehandle, improve quality, and increase throughput. By providing localized technical ownership, the Industrial Engineer helps shift the network from reactive troubleshooting to proactive, scalable optimization. Travel is required (up to 50%).

• Clear, actionable communication with frontline teams and leaders
• Knowledge of TLS, VPM, and defect reduction methodologies, with the ability to translate audit findings into actionable improvements

Your Mission In Motion
• Diagnose opportunities and quantify impact: Analyze workflows, engineered processes, and facility layouts; collect and interpret operational data to identify efficiency gains, waste reduction, cost savings, and throughput improvements, then present findings in a clear, actionable format.
• Engineer standards and improvements end-to-end: Develop and implement engineered standards, performance metrics, and labor models; design, test, and refine process improvements using time studies, work sampling, simulations, and value-stream mapping.
• Improve flow, layout, and equipment design: Support facility layouts, dock door/chute configuration, equipment specifications, and material flow plans to strengthen cross-dock and sortation performance.
• Lead cross-functional execution and adoption: Drive sustainable improvements by partnering with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain; lead changeovers, train teams, and standardize best practices across multiple sites.
• Embed continuous improvement and risk reduction: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methods; perform root cause analysis to mitigate operational risk and implement data-driven corrective action plans.
• Standardize with documentation and project discipline: Create SOPs, process maps, and work instructions; support project scoping, timelines, resource estimation, and post-implementation evaluations to sustain results.

Paving Your Way To Your Success
• You work on problems of varying scope by carefully evaluating identifiable factors and prioritizing what matters most.
• You develop practical solutions with limited information or precedent, adapting existing methods as needed to move work forward.
• You apply sound judgment and interpretation to determine the best course of action in fast-moving, operational environments.
• You perform work independently with accountability, welcoming review and alignment at key milestones.
• You communicate clearly and actionably with both frontline teams and leaders, driving adoption and consistency across sites.
