Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Machinery Technician to maintain and repair complex machinery at their facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat . This is a hands-on role critical to ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of a wide array of industrial equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing effective solutions to keep production lines running smoothly. A strong understanding of various manufacturing processes and safety protocols is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on all industrial machinery according to schedules and standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in production equipment. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand machinery operations and repair procedures. Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Use a variety of diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify problems. Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Perform welding, brazing, and other fabrication tasks as needed. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment. Collaborate with production teams to identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements. Respond to emergency repair needs promptly and efficiently. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Qualifications:
Technical degree or certification in Industrial Mechanics, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Machinery Technician or in a similar role. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing a variety of industrial equipment (e.g., CNC machines, conveyor systems, presses, pumps). Knowledge of welding, fabricating, and fitting techniques. Familiarity with PLC systems and basic troubleshooting is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends. Commitment to safety and quality standards.
